Trick or Treat!

Halloween was a lot of fun this year. Greggy spent the day as "scary Darth Maul" from Star Wars (his new favorite because he has 2 light sabers), and Abby was a sweet little witch. (Emily made her costume).

This was the first year the kids got to really trick or treat in our neighborhood as we usually have a trunk or treat. After spending an hour getting around 1 block, we now see the beauty in the trunk or treats.

Abby realized that she was collecting candy in her basket, and she decided to have a seat and enjoy! As you can see in the video, this is what we were up against the whole night. Just imagine each house taking this much time. It sure was funny to watch!

California!

We finally took that roadtrip we've been wanting to take for quite some time. It was overdue! We got to spend a week out in California with Grampa Boots and Nana Nancy! The kids really had a great time once the "jet lag" wore off. It was quite the drive out!

On the way there we got to stop at Brad and Carol's. We missed the new baby's arrival, but we did get to walk our little nieces and nephew to the bus stop for school. What a sweet family!
Grampa Boots and Nana Nancy took us out to a pumpkin patch. The kids had fun searching for pumpkins, and Greggy loved the hay maze. We couldn't get him out of it. We also got to feed the baby animals. It was a lot of fun!

We made our annual trip to Solvang to get our family portrait again. It's always fun browsing the shops, and Abby found herself a little baby. She just hugged her doll all over town. It was really cute.

We got Abby to the beach for the first time in her life. Unfortunately she was only there for the tan. She got wet, and didn't want anything to do with the water after. Greggy; however, loved the ocean! He still calls any body of water "Nana Nancy's Ocean".

Greggy had fun running from the water. After a while, he was letting the waves hit him. He was caught off guard when one wave plowed him down. He got up, and just ran to the sand without looking back. For the rest of the trip and the ride home he talked about how the wave "got him"

What's New!

Time for our monthly blog! So much has happened, and we haven't been sharing. How selfish of us!

To start, we now have two toddlers! Abby has started walking. At 13 months, she decided to trade in her bum scoot for walking, and she hasn't stopped since.

Abby loves being able to follow Greggy around, and they are just as cute as ever together. They play so well, and they make their parents happy when they laugh and play.

Greggy is always learning new things, and he is now really into Star Wars. He loves the clone troopers, and Darth Vader, the Emperor, and Darth Maul. He loves to play light sabers. He also loves to sing the Star Wars songs, and he will insist that we sing along with him. His favorite song at this time is the Darth Maul song. He also loves the song from the end of Nemo "Beyond the Sea". He will sing it over and over again.

As for Daniel and Emily, we've just been busy being parents. Dan's been busy at work, and being Greggy's best bud. Emily started a bookkeeping job from home and has been busy learning and working. Abby finally started saying "Mommy" and Emily can't get enough of it!

Abby's Birthday!

Abby had more fun watching Greg open her present than actually opening it. Greggy also has taken possession of the radio as well. Abby enjoys watching him play with it!

Can you guess what her big brother is obsessed with?

The Big 1 for Abby

Who can believe that our little Abby is already turning 1! She has just grown up so fast - must be the example of her big brother Greg. She is learning a few new words, and one of our favorites came to her on Father's Day. What a great gift for Dad.

Happy 4th of July

We had a great 4th. We started the day by going to a very long parade down in Provo. After 2 hours, we decided we were through, and headed home for the day. Greggy insisted on riding this little scooter to the parade (about 4 - 5 blocks away). He made it most of the way all by himself.

We invited over some family and friends for a barbeque that night, and it was a lot of fun. We even got the pleasure of having over an old high school friend of Daniel's from Texas with his family (Ben and Amanda Hedquist). They were passing through on their way home from a roadtrip. We had a great dinner, and a waterfight and fireworks! What a way to celebrate our nations freedom!

Big brother! Big helper!

So, Greggy's new thing is to help Daddy, Mommy, and Abby. He loves to help Mommy with the laundry, and buckling up his seatbelt in the car. He's becoming quite independent (and letting us know that too!) He also likes to feed Abby. He's such a great big brother.
