Easter - better late than never

We had the traditional Easter Egg hunt at Grandpa and Grandma Whiting's house again this year. The kids love to go and play with cousins and find candy. This year; however, Greggy and Abby really didn't participate. Greg slept through everything, and Abby clung to Emily's leg the entire time. It was still fun!

On Easter Sunday, the kids got to look for their Easter Basket. A long time tradition in Emily's family (maybe Dan's too). The kids got bubbles and they had a lot of fun with them. The next day, they played hide and seek with the empty plastic eggs. They both had a lot of fun with that. Greggy decided that he got all of the blue eggs, and he wouldn't let Abby have them. If she found one, he would take it.

Soon Abby was going for the blue eggs, and then taking them directly to Greg. She was so compliant with his rules!

Santa Cruz and San Francisco!

While we were visiting Grampa Boots and Nana Nancy we decided to take a trip up to Santa Cruz to see where Grampa and Nana lived when they were newlyweds. They lived in an apartment a block from the beach and their rent was $60 a month. Can you believe that? Emily has decided that she wants to move to Santa Cruz. It's absolutely beautiful!

After seeing a very small part of Santa Cruz, we cruised on up to San Francisco. It was a lot of fun, even though our children got tired, and Emily lost the car keys! Emily and Mom walked across the Golden Gate bridge. That was so fun! The next day we ran into Donny and Marie Osmond at the wax museum. It was a fun side trip to our trip to California.

California

We all went out to California for a week before Daniel started his new job. We had a lot of fun with Grampa Boots and Nana Nancy at the ocean. Greggy insisted on playing in the water even though it was freezing cold. He would be shivering while running back to play some more. He really loves the ocean! We also went to visit the elephant seals, and walk on the boardwalk. The kids had a ball!
