The Payson Parade

 

This is Andie's first parade attendance! She loved it! Loved the horses, the dogs, the princesses, and the dancers!

 

Abbys First Day of School

 

 

Abby is now in kindergarten! She is so excited to go to school like her brother Greg. She sported Hello Kitty at school - her favorite!

 

Her teacher is Mrs. Pennington, and Abby loves her! Every day she is coloring some picture to give to her teacher, or another classmate! On the first day of school she was chosen to be the camp ranger. She got to sit in the camp chair, and bring home their "pet" Bandit the racoon!

Greg is now in first grade! We can't believe how fast he is growing up. He loved his first day of school, especially the 3 recesses! He couldn't believe how lucky he was to have 3 recesses! His teacher is Mrs. Welch. He wore his Ninjago shirt - his favorite!

 

 

 

Tae Kwon Do

Greg has been attending a Korean class with our neighbor. He has had fun learning the language, as well as a little Tae Kwon Do. Yesterday was the end of year program and he did a little demonstration with his class.

Goodbye Orem

After almost 7 years we are saying goodbye to our first home in Orem. We plan to close on it mid May, and we have an offer on a home in Payson - Emily's home town. We are excited to have some more room, and make new friends though we will miss our friends and family here in Orem.

After 4 months of changing diapers, we are finally getting some smiles. Andie has such a beautiful smile and we are excited to see it!

What a Christmas!

We had a great Christmas! Cousins were in town along with Nana Nancy and Grampa Boots. We got to spend part of the week with them. We also got to spend some time over at Grandpa and Grandma Whitings house. What fun! The kids were sure excited that Santa Claus was coming. They sang "Santa Claus is coming to town" all month.

This video is of Abby and what she thought of the hot chocolate Santa left for her. She thought it was the little packet that comes in shoe boxes and purses, because her older cousin Ariah had showed her one a few nights earlier that had come in her dress up box.

Greg is now five. The first thing he did was ask us when he got to start going to kindergarten. He sure does love learning!

Andie is home

Well, actually she has been home for a month now. As usual, I am behind. It has been quite the adjustment having a third child in the home, but we are enjoying having our new baby home. Greg and Abby just adore her, and they are constantly wanting to hold her and play with her.

It's a Girl!

So, as you all probably know by now, we have an early arrival. Andrea Jean Snow was born on September 24, 2010 (Dad's birthday). She was 8 weeks early, thanks to Mom. She has been doing great in the NICU, and we all love her so much! Andie loves her binky, and as of today she is off the belly rubin light, so now she can be snuggled up in a blanket to sleep. Up until today she just had to hang out under the light, so she had some wild nights flailing about!

So Dan and I left town yesterday to see Pride and Prejudice at the Shakespeare Festival in Cedar City for our 11 year anniversary! Yeah us! We really enjoyed having a day together. Thanks for the wonderful date Dan!

While we were gone, Aunt Suzie and Uncle Josh watched the kids. Greg just adores Josh, and loves to watch him race. Greg got to take his bike up to the race last week, and Aunt Suzie said he just raced right along with all of the other people! What an awesome boy!

Josh promised to teach him how to ride without training wheels, and yesterday he did just that! Greg is now riding his bike without training wheels, and he is doing really well. Our little boy is growing up so fast!

Happy Birthday Abby!

Abby just loves to dance and sing. Whenever she hears music she just has to get moving. She can now ride her bike (with training wheels), and she loves to talk about what a big girl she is now. We just love our little Abigayle!

For her birthday we opened presents first thing (it's tradition!) She got lots of pink clothes, jewelry, and pots and pans for her kitchen thanks to her grandparents. She was spoiled! Her favorite things were of course the cards. She loves to get cards, and she will carry them around for weeks after recieving one.

We spent they day at the Shelley Family Reunion (Emily's family), and then came home to have cake and ice cream with Aunt Suzie and her best friend Chloie and her family.

New Baby on the Way!

Everyone should know by now, but for those that may have missed the announcement, Emily is pregnant again. We are expecting a baby girl on November 21st and we are all excited. Greg was hoping for a boy, but he is still happy to get to have a baby in the house. Abby is excited to have a little sister to play dress up with.

Disneyland

Wow! So, back in May we went to Disneyland. Shocker that it took me this long to post it to our blog. I just like to make sure everyone is as up to speed with my life as I am.

Anyway, we had a blast! Suprisingly, the kids made it through the entire day. We were able to do so much more than I ever thought would be possible.

Greg was able to fight Darth Vadar and become a real jedi at their training academy. He had so much fun, and we had fun watching. Abby was even able to take a few stabs at Darth Maul.

Abby just loved the princesses and all of the characters. She gave them all hugs, and I guess that made waiting in the lines worth it.

Greg's favorite ride was The Pirates of the Carribean. He went on it 3 times while we were there, and he would have gone more. Abby even survived a ride without tears. Funny how that was the one ride that scared me to death when I went as a child.

Still here

So I guess it has been awhile. We are all up to the usual. Greg loves to draw, and he loves to write. He is always asking, "how do you spell ____?" He is getting pretty good! He's now banned from markers (see picture above for the reason). Abby is starting to play with her babies, and she loves to take them everywhere with her. "Baby wants to come too!" she says to us when we leave. She loves pink, and everything is pink to her. "I'll pretend the swing is pink... I will pretend this cup is pink... etc."

Emily had a blast playing basketball with the relief society. Their team made it to regionals, and lost their second game by only a few points. Maybe next year! Emily was even starting to play somewhat decent.

We gave Greg another hair cut. We call it the summer cut. He had such long hair, and he looks so different now - still as handsome as ever though. When we pulled out the clippers he started freaking out and saying he didn't want his hair to turn gray. Must be because Dad is always cutting his hair with the clippers (not that his hair is that gray). Greg likes to think he looks like Shark Boy because it is spikey!

Daniel just hit his one year mark at work, and we are thrilled!

Greg loves this picture! He is always talking about the time he was on the tall building when he was Spider-man. He also wants to know where his webs are.

Getting Ready For Christmas!

We have been listening to Christmas music since before Thanksgiving. This is my favorite time of the year. We decorated our Christmas tree after Greg's party, and that was a lot of fun. This year I let the kids do all of the decorating, so most of the ornaments were from 3 feet high and down. Later as they "fell off" the tree, I have moved them up a little higher for some balance.

As for the Christmas songs playing, Greg just loves Feliz Navidad, and the Carol of the Bells (he calls that one the Halloween song).

Greg has been so excited for snow. He has been asking me to let him make a snowman, so the other day when it was nice and sunny I set him to work. I think he did a pretty good job with a little help from his friend.

Abby made me laugh this morning. She came up to me with a little tower of blocks and said, "I made a present for Santa. Take it to him. He is at the mall"

Happy Birthday Greg!

I'm Four now!

Greg just loves being four. He is always saying, now that I'm four I can do this. Abby when you are older like me, then you can play with that, etc. It's so funny! You'd think he just turned 18.

He had all of his friends over for his birthday party. The theme was Spiderman (of course), and they played pin the spider on the web, make your own spider sucker, and they even ran a spider obstacle course. They finised the party off with spiderman cake and spider web cupcakes.
